Erin Watson, PsyD

Erin C. Watson, PsyD, ABPP, is a Board Certified Clinical Health Psychologist and a Clinical Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the University of San Francisco, California (UCSF). She is a Staff Psychologist with the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) where she provides health psychology services and contributes to interprofessional education and practice for VA and UCSF learners. She is the Associate Director of Psychology for the Education for Patient Aligned Care Teams (EdPACT) program and serves as a consultant for the National VA Motivational Interviewing (MI) therapy initiative. Dr. Watson also serves as volunteer faculty for the UCSF's Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship program and is a MI Subject Matter Expert for the VA's SimLEARN Opioid Prevention Education (SLOPE) Addiction Mini-Residency. She practices evidence-based cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and mindfulness-based therapies. Her clinical and research interests include the integration of behavioral health in medical specialty clinics and primary care, education for allied health professionals, socially responsible practice, health disparities, and program development and evaluation.
