Dr. Margolis is the Director of the Division of Integrated Behavioral Health at the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences ZSFG Campus. She is also the Associate Director of Primary Care Behavioral Health, Pediatrics at the Children's Health Center at ZSFG. She is a non-native, Spanish-speaking, licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in pediatric psychology. Since her fellowship in 2013, Dr. Margolis' clinical, programmatic, training, policy, and research focus is in integrated behavioral health in pediatric primary care. Committed to social justice and culturally-responsive care, Dr. Margolis has dedicated her career to enhancing systems of care to better serve marginalized children and families across the continuum of care to include prevention and health promotion in infancy and early childhood. At UCSF/ZSFG, Dr. Margolis leads the pediatric integrated behavioral health team and the UCSF Technical Assistance initiative to promote Medi-Cal payment reform to expand Early Childhood/Dyadic integrated behavioral health services across California. As part of this work, Dr. Margolis directs the ZSFG Children's Health Center HealthySteps Program and its expansion into the San Francisco Health Network. She is passionate about training the next generation of clinicians and leaders within pediatric integrated care and currently leads the Integrated Behavioral Health rotation for the Child and Adolescent Services Multicultural Clinical Training Program at the UCSF/ZSFG Division of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Some of her areas of clinical and research interest include health equity for immigrant children and families, systems of care, integrated pediatric primary care, culturally-responsive evidence-based practice, and training/workforce capacity development in integrated primary care.
