Tatjana Novakovic-Agopian, PhD

Tatjana Novakovic-Agopian specializes in the psychological assessment and rehabilitation of patients recovering from brain injuries caused by trauma, stroke, toxic exposure or various neurological conditions. She is particularly interested in assessing and treating problems with executive control (mental abilities such as making plans, carrying out plans, learning from mistakes and other skills that allow people to perform tasks).

Novakovic-Agopian's research focuses on restoring executive function after brain injury and assessing the mind's function using advanced imaging technologies.

Novakovic-Agopian earned a doctorate at Alliant International University's California School of Professional Psychology. She completed a residency and a fellowship in neuropsychology at UCSF.

Novakovic-Agopian co-directs the neurorehabilitation programs at UCSF, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System, Northern California Veterans Affairs Health Care System (Martinez Outpatient Clinic) and University of California, Berkeley.

Novakovic-Agopian served as chair of the California Pacific Regional Rehabilitation Center's brain injury research committee. She formerly served as president of the Northern California Neuropsychology Forum.
