Bullard to discuss impact of mindfulness and compassion with Dalai Lama’s translator

Clinical professor David Bullard, PhD, will serve as the host and moderator for a special hour-long conversation this afternoon with Thupten Jinpa, PhD. Currently a visiting scholar at Stanford Institute for Neuro-Innovation and Translation Neurosciences, Jinpa has been the Dalai Lama’s principal English translator and book editor since 1985. He will talk to Bullard about his new book, A Fearless Heart: How the Courage to Be Compassionate Can Transform Our Lives, based on experiments he helped formulate for Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training program.

Today’s event is sponsored by the UCSF Department of Spiritual Care Services. It will begin at noon in N-217 on the Parnassus campus. All are welcome to attend.
