Eight educators—seven faculty members and one former postdoctoral fellow—from the UC San Francisco Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences were recently recognized for completing certification courses as part of the Teach for UCSF Certificate Program during the School of Medicine's annual teaching awards ceremony.

Teach for UCSF is a program of the UCSF Center for Faculty Educators that offers university faculty and volunteer clinical professor (as well as staff and learners on a limited basis) the opportunity to gain in-depth understanding and essential skills as health professional educators and build a network with other educators through in-person sessions. The program is designed based on best practices from the education literature, and integrates anti-racist and anti-oppressive principles. It requires a significant investment of time on the part of the participants and represents a testament to their commitment to the professional development as educators.
