The Alliance Health Project has joined with the UCSF Center of Excellence for Transgender Health, UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, and Pacific AIDS Education Training Center to sponsor the 2015 National Transgender Health Summit in Oakland on April 17-18, 2015. The landmark program will present cutting edge research and evidence-based educational sessions across many disciplines and is the premiere national conference in transgender health.

A new study of Tourette syndrome (TS) led by researchers from the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) has found that nearly 86 percent of patients who seek treatment for TS will be diagnosed with a second psychiatric disorder during their lifetimes, and that nearly 58 percent will receive two or more such diagnoses.
